Property Import

Properties can either be added or updated, depending on the data in the import file. If you want to add a new property, the property number supplied in the import file must NOT already exist in the Pinnacle database. If you want to update an existing property, the property number supplied in the import file MUST already exist in the Pinnacle database. Updates and additions can be mixed within the one import file if necessary.

All the Required fields must be supplied when you are adding a new property. If you are updating an existing property, you do not need to supply the Required fields (other than the Property Number). Any fields left blank in the import file when updating an existing property will be left unchanged in Pinnacle. The property number cannot be updated for an existing property.

The data file to import Properties must consist of twenty (20) comma separated columns. The columns must be in the following order:

If the property number exists, the property will be updated. If the property number does not exist, the property will be added.

The level number must already exist in the Pinnacle database.

Store Number

This store number must be unique for the Pinnacle database.

The location name must be unique for all locations in the Pinnacle database.

Barcode Number

If the barcode number is supplied, it must be a unique barcode number for all locations in the Pinnacle database.

Parent Property Number

If the location is not a level 1 location, you must supply a parent property number.

Floor Area

This will default to 0.00 if no value is supplied.

Access Code

Optional

If you supply an access code, the access code must already exist in the Access Codes table.

Supervisor

Optional

If you supply a supervisor, the supervisor must already exist in the Staff and Non-suppliers table.

Authorisation

Optional

If you supply an authorisation level, the authorisation level must already exist in the Delegation levels table, and must be linked to the Staff Member selected as the Supervisor for the property.
