The Maintenance Contracts table is used to record details of maintenance contracts that you may have with other organisations for repair and servicing of your fixed assets. You can then use these maintenance contracts when adding repairs for fixed assets.
The Maintenance Contracts table has several different tabs for recording information about a maintenance contract. The tabs are: Browse, and Details.
The Browse tab is a list of the maintenance contracts that have been added to the table. You can filter the browse list of contracts in the same way as you filter a regular browse window.
The Details tab shows the detailed information that you can record about each maintenance contract. The fields available on the Details tab are:
Contract Number - This is the identifying number for the maintenance contract that you receive. You can use numeric or alphabetic characters for the contract number. You must enter a contract number for each maintenance contract, and each number must be unique.
Purchase Order Number - This is the number of the purchase order you used to pay for the maintenance contract.
Expiry Date - This is the date that the maintenance contract expires. Repairs should not be carried out using the maintenance contract if it has expired.
Description - This is a description of the purpose of the maintenance contract. You must enter a description for each maintenance contract.
Comments - This is any extra comments about the maintenance contract that are not part of the description.
Supplier - This is the name of the supplier who is responsible for the maintenance contract. You can select a supplier from the list of suppliers that have been set up in the Suppliers table.
Address - This is the address of the supplier for the maintenance contract. Pinnacle will automatically fill in this field when you select a supplier, and you cannot edit this field.
Phone - This is the phone number of the supplier for the maintenance contract. Pinnacle will automatically fill in this field when you select a supplier, and you cannot edit this field.
Fax - This is the fax number of the supplier for the maintenance contract. Pinnacle will automatically fill in this field when you select a supplier, and you cannot edit this field.
Contact - This is the contact person of the supplier for the maintenance contract. Pinnacle will automatically fill in this field when you select a supplier, and you cannot edit this field.
Acknowledgment of Impending Expiry - This indicates that the maintenance contract is about to expire, but that the impending expiry has been acknowledged. If this field is checked, the maintenance contract will not appear in the list of maintenance contracts that are about to expire in the Event Notification window.
Acknowledgment of Expiry - This indicates that the maintenance contract has expired, but that the expiry has been acknowledged. If this field is checked, the maintenance contract will not appear in the list of expired maintenance contracts in the Event Notification window.
You can view the list of assets that are linked to a maintenance contract. You can also link additional assets to a maintenance contract from the Maintenance Contracts table window.
Open the Maintenance Contracts table window.
On the Browse tab, highlight the maintenance contract that you want to display the assets for.
Choose Assets Linked To from the File menu

Choose Assets Linked To from the popup menu
Pinnacle will display a window showing the list of assets that are currently linked to the maintenance contract.
Open the Maintenance Contracts table window.
On the Browse tab, highlight the maintenance contract that you want to link assets to.
Choose Assets Linked To from the File menu
OR
Choose Assets Linked To from the popup menu
Pinnacle will display a window showing the list of assets that are currently linked to the maintenance contract.
Click the Link button.
Pinnacle will display a window listing all the assets that are available to be linked to the maintenance contract.
You can use the Selection Criteria fields at the top of the window to narrow down the list of available assets at the bottom of the window.
In the list of available assets select the assets that you wish to link to the maintenance contract.
Click the OK button.
Confirm that you want to link the assets to the maintenance contract.
Pinnacle will link the selected assets to the maintenance contract, and will display them in the Assets Linked To window.
Open the Maintenance Contracts table window.
On the Browse tab, highlight the maintenance contract that you want to unlink assets from.
Choose Assets Linked To from the File menu
OR
Choose Assets Linked To from the popup menu
Pinnacle will display a window showing the list of assets that are currently linked to the maintenance contract.
Select the assets that you want to unlink from the maintenance contract.
Click the Unlink button.
Confirm that you want to unlink the assets from the maintenance contract.
Pinnacle will unlink the selected assets from the maintenance contract.
