Frequencies are used to define intervals at which events must occur. The events differ, depending on what the frequency is used for. For example, frequencies are used against Planned Maintenance templates to determine how often a work order must be generated from the Template.
You can define the frequencies by specifying a description of the frequency, and the number of days for the frequency. For example, you might have frequencies of "Every 6 months", "Every 2 months" and so on. The period for these frequencies might be 180 days (6 months of 30 days) and 60 days (2 months of 30 days). You can define your own frequencies, and the periods for which they would occur.
You can enter the following information about a frequency:
Description - This is a description of the frequency. This cannot be left blank, and must be unique.
Frequency Type - Whether the frequency is a Regular Frequency, or a Specific Frequency. A Regular Frequency is a frequency with a set number of days, for example: every 10 days, or every 200 days. A Specific Frequency is a frequency with a specific day, for example: the first day of every month, the fourth day of every 12 months.
Frequency Details - The actual frequency in days and months. If the frequency is a Regular Frequency, you can select the number of days for each frequency. For example, every 14 days, or every 365 days. If the frequency is Specific Frequency, you can select the day for the frequency to occur, and the number of months for the frequency. For example, you can select the first day of every month, or the fifteenth day of every third month.
