Licences are legal permissions for certain restricted activities or events to be carried out in conjunction with a lease. For example, a licence could be for the serving of alcohol, or permission to hold live music events.
Licences can be granted independently to an organisation, or licences can be granted to a specific property. Pinnacle allows you to record both independent licences and property licences. If a licence is granted to a Property that has been associated with the lease via the Tenancy tab, fields on the Licence Tab aren't editable for that licence, except the Licence Valid for this Lease From and Licence Valid for this Lease To fields. If the licence is not associated with a specific property, you can add the licence to Pinnacle from the Lease Licence tab or from the Licences table.
The Licence tab is divided into two sections. The top section of the tab is a summary list of all the licences that are associated with the lease. The bottom section is the full details of the licence that is highlighted in the browse section. The fields on the Licence tab are:
Licence Number - This is the licence number. You must enter a licence number, and the licence number must be unique. You cannot edit this field if the licence has been inherited from a property associated to a tenancy on the lease.
Organisation Name - This is the name of the organisation who grants the licence, such as the local Liquor Licencing Board. You cannot edit this field if the licence has been inherited from a property associated to a tenancy on the lease.
Licence Conditions - This field lists any specific conditions associated with the licence. You cannot edit this field if the licence has been inherited from a property associated to a tenancy on the lease.
Licence Amount - This is the amount that the licence costs. You cannot edit this field if the licence has been inherited from a property associated to a tenancy on the lease.
Start Date - This is the date from which the licence commences. You cannot edit this field if the licence has been inherited from a property associated to a tenancy on the lease.
End Date - This the date on which the licence ends or expires. You cannot edit this field if the licence has been inherited from a property associated to a tenancy on the lease.
Licence Valid for this Lease From - This is the date from which this licence is valid for the lease. The Licence Valid From date must be on or before the Licence Valid To date. The Licence Valid From date must also fall between the Licence Start and End dates.
Licence Valid for this Lease To - This is the date to which this licence is valid for the lease. The Licence Valid To date must be on or after the Licence Valid From date. The Licence Valid To date must also fall between the Licence Start and End dates.
