Work Order Backlog Browse Window

The Backlog Browse window is a list of all the outstanding work orders that are due to be carried out. The Backlog includes work orders with an active status (Registered, In Progress, Outstanding, Work Complete). From the browse window you can see a summary of information about each work order, such as the Series and Number, the description of the work order, and the date that the work order is due.

You can only view the work orders that you have Budget Group Access to. If you do not have access to the Budget Group for the budget codes that a work order uses, then those work orders will not be displayed in the Backlog browse list.

When other users add work orders to the Backlog, these orders do not normally appear on the Backlog Browse Window until next time you open the window, or until you select the Refresh Data menu option. If you want the Backlog browser to automatically refresh, you can set an option in your Pinnacle.INI file to do so.

To set the Backlog Browse Window to automatically refresh:

  1. Open the Pinnacle.INI file

  2. Under the Options section in your Pinnacle.INI file, set the option:

  3. where <nn> is the number of seconds to refresh. For example:

  4. Save the Pinnacle.INI file.
