The issues tab displays the information on issues that have been recorded against a request. Issues must be recorded against a request item for a request.
The top of the issues window displays a summary list of all the issues that have been made against the current request. The bottom left hand side of the issues window displays the details about the currently highlighted issue. The bottom right hand side of the issues window displays summary information about the stock item for the currently highlighted issue.
The fields on the issues tab are:
Line Number - This is the line number of the current request item that the issue is being made against.
Stock Item Details - The system will display the stock item code and description of the stock item for the request item that the issue is being made against.
Quantity Outstanding - This is the quantity of stock that is still required to be issued for the request item. You cannot edit this field.
Issue Date - This is the actual date of issue. This defaults to today's date when you add a new issue.
Quantity Issued - This is the quantity of the stock item that is to be issued.
Free Issue - This is used to indicate whether the issue was free, or whether there was some cost associated with the issue. If the issue is a free issue, then there is no cost associated with this issue. When reporting on issues, the cost of the issue will be displayed as zero.
Issued From Details - This is the stock location and bin number for the stock item that the stock issue was removed from. You must select a stock location and bin from the list of available locations and bins for the stock item.
The system also displays the stock item summary details. These details are for display only. The stock item summary details are:
Total Stock - This is current quantity of the stock item on hand, measured in issue units.
Due In - This is the total number of issue units of the stock item that are on order but not yet received. This field is calculated by the system from the purchase orders in the Stock Module.
Due Out - This is the total number of issue units of the stock item that have been requested but not yet issued. This field is calculated by the system from the requests in the Stock Module.
Balance - This is the total stock on hand plus the dues in minus the dues out minus awaiting requisitions.
Stock Value - This is the total stock on hand multiplied by the Average Issue Unit Price.
When issuing stock items, you may want to view the locations for the stock item without having to open the stock item window. You can view the locations for a stock item from the Issues tab. This will assist you in selecting the location you wish to issue the stock item from.
Select Locations from the Requests menu when the Issues tab is active
OR
Choose Locations from the popup menu.
The system will display a window showing the current locations of the stock item, and the quantity of the stock item at each location.
Click the Close button to close this window.
