The Details tab describes all of the basic information about a Work Package. You can only edit details for a work package when the status of the work package is Registered. Once a work package has been approved, you cannot change any details for the work package.
You can view the following information about a Work Package:
Package Name - This is the descriptive name for the work package. You must enter a work package name, and the work package name must be unique.
Budget Code - This is the budget code that work done for this work package will be costed to. You must select a budget code from the list of budget codes defined in Pinnacle. This is used to filter templates that you can select to be included on the work package.
Location - This is a location for the work package. This is used to filter templates that you can select to be included on the work package.
Maintenance Type - This is the type of maintenance for work orders belonging the Work Package. You can select a maintenance type from the list of maintenance types defined in the Maintenance Types table.
Template Status - This is the user defined status for work orders belonging to the Work Package. You can select a user defined status from the list of user defined status codes set up in the User Defined Status Codes table.
Year - This is the financial year that the work package relates to. You must select a year from the list of financial years defined in Pinnacle. This is used to filter the templates that you can select to be included on the work package.
Status - This is the status of the Work Package. The work package can be Registered, Draft Approved, or Approved. The status is generated by Pinnacle, and cannot be edited. Work packages initially have a status of "Registered", then "Draft Approved" (where templates are marked as being included in a work package) and finally to "Approved" (where work orders are generated from the selected templates and placed on the backlog).
Created By - This is the user ID of the user who created the work package. Pinnacle will automatically set the user ID when the work package is added. You cannot edit the user.
Created On - This is the date that the work package was created. Pinnacle will automatically set the date when the work package is added. You cannot edit the date the work package was created on.
Updated By - This is the user ID of the user who last updated the work package. Pinnacle will automatically modify the user ID whenever changes are made to the work package. You cannot edit the user ID.
Updated On - This is the date that the work package was last updated. Pinnacle will automatically modify the date whenever changes are made to the work package. You cannot edit the date.
Contract - This is a contract that work for the work package is to be carried out under. You can select a contract from the list of contracts defined in Pinnacle.
Purchase Order - This is a purchase order number for work in the work package to be carried out under. You must enter a purchase order number before you can approve a work package. This number is then copied to the resulting work orders as a way of linking together all the work orders created from a package.
The Details tab also displays some summary details about a work package. These details are for display only. The Work Package Summary details are:
Number of cyclic template instances - This is the number of cyclic templates that have been included in the work package.
Number of one-off template instances - This is the number of one-off templates that have been included in the work package.
Total number of templates - This is the total number of templates, cyclic plus one-off, that have been included in the work package.
Total estimated work package cost for cyclic templates - This is the estimated cost of the work orders that will be raised from cyclic templates included in the work package.
Total estimated work package cost for one-off templates - This is the estimated cost of the work orders that will be raised from one-off templates included in the work package.
Total estimated work package cost - This is the total cost of the work orders that will be raised from any template included in the work package.
Latest Bid Amount - This is the latest bid amount for the budget code that has been selected for the work package, in the financial year selected for the work package.
Latest Allocation Amount - This is the latest allocation amount for the budget code that has been selected for the work package, in the financial year selected for the work package.
