Priorities are the different priority levels for work orders, and the required response time for work orders with the priority. Priorities are also used to determine the urgency of condition assessments. For example, your work order priorities might be "Emergency", "Urgent" or "Medium". For work orders where the priority is "Emergency", you might have a response time of 1 hour. For work orders with a "Medium" priority you might have a response time of 3 days.
When determining which work orders or condition assessments are more urgent than others, the system will automatically use the response time for the priority to determine the actual urgency.
You can enter the following information about a priority:
Description - This is a description of the priority. You must enter a description, and the description must be unique.
Type - This is the type of priority, whether it is a priority required for Condition Assessment, or whether it is a standard priority, for use in the Work Order module.
Response Time - This is the amount of time within which a response is required. The response time is made up of the amount, and the units (Hours, Days, Weeks, Months, Years).
Resolution Time - This is the amount of time within which the issue is required to be resolved. The resolution time is made up of the amount, and the units (Hours, Days, Weeks, Months, Years).
