Leasing Module Defaults

The Pinnacle Leasing Module has a number of user definable settings which may be specified in the Application Settings window. This window can be accessed by choosing the Application Settings menu option from the Maintain menu in the Administration Module.

The Application Settings window has several options for the Leasing Module: Lease Defaults, Diary Defaults, and Field Names.

Lease Defaults

This option allows you to set defaults which will affect the behaviour and appearance of the Leasing Module. The defaults you can specify are:

Property Level at which properties can be flagged for leasing (min Level 2) - This allows you to choose the minimum property level at which properties can be used in the Leasing Module.  You cannot choose Level 1 Properties as leasable properties.  If you wish to restrict the leasable properties to a higher level property, you do so via this setting. Level 2 is the lowest property level that can be chosen.

Property Level at which properties can be flagged as common areas (min Level 3) - This allows you to choose the minimum property at which properties can be flagged as common area properties.  You cannot choose Level 1 or Level 2 Properties as common area properties.  If you wish to restrict the common areas to a higher level property, you do so via this setting.  Level 3 is the lowest property level that can be chosen.

Forward Schedule Templates for X days - This is the number of days to calculate schedules for into the future. For example, if you wanted the system to generate schedules for the next five years, this field would be set to 1825 (365*5).

Default Lead Time X days - This is the number of days before a Charge/Payment Template is due to display it in the Generate Charges/Payments window.

Show Terminated Leases in the Lease Tree Browse window? - If you want to display terminated leases in the Lease Tree Browse Window, you can turn this option on.  Terminated leases are not displayed in the Lease Tree Browse Window by default.

Show the next Review for Charge Type - This allows you to specify the charge type that you would like to display the next review for on the Lease Details Tab.

Value Added Tax Posting Account - This is the Ledger Code for VAT postings where you are paying VAT to a supplier of goods or services.  The Leasing Defaults window only displays the VAT account that has been specified in the Asset Module Defaults, you cannot edit it from the Leasing Defaults window, only the Asset Module Defaults.

Value Added Tax Supply Account - This is the Ledger Code for VAT postings where you are supplying the goods or services to another entity.  You must select from a list of ledger codes that have been specified in the Budget Module.

Diary Defaults

This option allows you to set defaults which will affect the behaviour and appearance of the Diary window in the Leasing Module.  The defaults you can specify are:

First Day of the Week - This allows you to specify the day of the week that the calendar should treat as Day 1.  Most calendars usually use Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week, but you can specify any day you like.

Display First - This allows you to specify the Diary tab that you would like displayed first when opening the Diary Window.  You can choose the Day, Week, Month, or Agenda tab.

Show In Diary - This allows you to specify which lease events you would like displayed in the Diary window.  By default all events are turned on, however you can turn them off. You can choose from:

Field Names

The Field Names option allows you to specify some names to use in the Leasing module if the default values do not suit your organisation. The field names you specify will be used throughout Pinnacle wherever the field appears.

The field names you can specify are:
