Work Order Overview

Work Orders, or MWAs, are documents that are raised to authorise maintenance work on equipment assets and property locations. You can record the costs of carrying out the maintenance work, and you can use the work orders to determine the cycle of work that needs to be carried out on your maintainable assets.

There are two types of work orders that can be recorded in Pinnacle: Preventive Work Orders and Corrective Work Orders. Preventive Work Orders are automatically generated by Pinnacle as a result of the Planned Maintenance Templates. Corrective Work Orders are those work orders which are manually added to Pinnacle as a result of the need to do some additional maintenance.

If a Work Order has a budget code selected, you will only be able to view the work orders that you have Budget Group Access to. If you do not have access to the Budget Group for the budget codes that the work order uses, then those work orders will not be displayed.
