Commencing a Work Order

When you want to begin work on a work order, you can commence the work order. This will set the status of the work order to In Progress.

When you commence a work order, Pinnacle will check the materials against the work order. If there are stock items that have not been fully requisitioned, Pinnacle will notify you that the work order has not been fully requisitioned. You can ignore this notification and commence the work order anyway, or you can choose to wait until the stock item has been fully requisitioned.

Work orders that are automatically commenced, such as planned work orders when the auto-commence flag is set, will not display this notification, and will commence the work order whether stock items have been fully requisitioned or not.
