Shift Log tasks are simply work orders that have been assigned to a particular shift as an indication of the work that members of the shift team are to perform during the shift. These are either added from the Work Order Module as in-house work orders are commenced, or can be manually added to the shift log as required.
The fields displayed on the Log Tasks tab are:
MWA No - This is the number of the work order for the task.
Location - This is the location code for the work order.
Description - The detailed description of the location.
Assigned To - This is the staff member that the task is to be carried out by. This must be selected from the list of users that have been defined in the Users table.
Assigned By - This is the user who is assigning the task. This defaults to the user ID of the user who is currently logged in to Pinnacle, but you can change this. The user ID comes from the list of users that have been defined in the Users table.
Task Status - This is the status of the task for this shift log. The task status is either Not Complete (NC) or Complete (C). The task status default to Not Complete (NC) when the task is first added to the shift.
Time Taken - This is the time in hours spent on this task for this shift log.
Open the shift log you want to add a task to.
Change to the Log Tasks tab.
Select New from the File menu
OR
Choose New from the popup menu
OR
Click the New toolbar button.
Pinnacle will add a new blank task row.
Select a work order from the list of work orders.
If the work order has multiple tasks, Pinnacle will display a list of the work order tasks for you to choose from. If the work order only has one task, this task will be assigned to the shift log.
Select a staff member to assign the task to.
If the staff member has more than one skill assigned to them, you can choose the skill that applies to the task.
Select Save from the File menu
