Adding a Work Order for a Property or an Equipment Asset

Properties and Equipment Assets frequently need work orders created. If you are in the Property Module, you can add a work order for a Property or an Equipment asset from the Property Module.

To add a work order for a Property or Equipment Asset from the Property Tree Browse Window:

1. Highlight the property or equipment asset in the Property Tree Browse window.

2. Select MWA from the File menu

   OR

   Choose MWA from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the MWA toolbar button.

   Pinnacle will open the Work Order Module, and will add a new blank work order in the Backlog list. If you created the work order for a property, Pinnacle will automatically set the Location for the work order to the property that was selected when the work order was created. If you created the work order for an equipment asset, Pinnacle will automatically set the Asset number for the work order to the asset number of the equipment asset.

3. Type in the work order details.

4. Select Save from the Backlog menu

   OR

   Choose Save from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the Save toolbar button.

To add a work order for an Equipment Asset from the System Tree Browse Window:

1. Highlight the equipment asset in the System Tree Browse window.

2. Select MWA from the File menu

   OR

   Choose MWA from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the MWA toolbar button.

   Pinnacle will open the Work Order Module, and will add a new blank work order in the Backlog list. Pinnacle will automatically set the Asset number for the work order to the asset number of the equipment asset.

3. Type in the work order details.

4. Select Save from the Backlog menu

   OR

   Choose Save from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the Save toolbar button.

To add a work order for a Property from the Level Browse Window:

1. Open a Level Browse window that will show the property that you want to create the work order for.

2. In the Level Browse window, highlight the property.

3. Choose MWA from the File menu

   OR

   Choose MWA from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the MWA toolbar button.

   Pinnacle will open the Work Order Module, and will add a new blank work order in the Backlog list. Pinnacle will automatically set the Location for the work order to the property that was selected when the work order was created.

4. Type in the work order details.

5. Choose Save from the Backlog menu

   OR

   Choose Save from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the Save toolbar button.

To add a work order for a Property from the Property Window:

1. Open the property that you want to create the work order for.

2. Choose MWA from the File menu

   OR

   Choose MWA from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the MWA toolbar button.

   Pinnacle will open the Work Order Module, and will add a new blank work order in the Backlog list. Pinnacle will automatically set the Location for the work order to the property that was selected when the work order was created.

3. Type in the work order details.

4. Choose Save from the Backlog menu

   OR

   Choose Save from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the Save toolbar button.
