Reports may be saved to disk in a variety of formats which are recognised by other applications. For example, you may wish to save a report in Excel format so that you can open it from within Microsoft Excel to manipulate the data in it. If you want to save a selection of fields, you can choose to export a report instead.
To save a report to disk choose the Save As option from the File menu. File formats supported are:
Report
Text
Excel 5
Excel
dBase
DIF (Data Interchange Format)
CSV (Comma Separated Values)
HTML
Windows Metafile
PDF (Portable Document Format)
Saving a report in the Report format will allow you to open the report again from within Pinnacle.
In order to view a report which was saved to disk, choose the Open Report option from the File menu. This will enable you to view a report which was saved in the Report format. Reports saved in other formats cannot be viewed from within Pinnacle.
When you choose to open a report, you will be prompted to select a report file. These normally have an extension of .psr. The report will then be opened as it was originally displayed.
