Exporting Reports

When you run a report, you can choose to save the report in it's entirety, or you can choose to export the report. Exporting allows you to choose which fields you want exported, and the order that the fields will be sorted by in the export file.

To export a report:

  1. Run the report you want to export.

  2. Choose Export from the File menu.

The export window will be displayed.

  3. From the Export window, choose the fields that you want to export.

  4. If you want the export file to be sorted by particular fields, set the sort order number for those fields, and choose whether the field is to be sorted in ascending or descending order.

  5. Choose whether you want the export file to use Comma Separated Values (CSV) or a Fixed length.

If you want the file to use Fixed length fields, you can then set the field lengths, number of decimal places, whether to mark numeric fields with a plus (+) or minus (-) sign, and a date format for date fields.

  6. Choose whether you want +/- sign (if displayed) in front of or behind numeric fields.

  7. Choose whether you want the field headings included in the export file.

  8. Choose a file name and path to export to.

  9. Click the Export button.

To save a profile:

  1. From the Export window, create the Export profile.

  2. Choose the Save Profile button on the Export window.

The system will display the Saved Profiles window. You can give the profile a name.

  3. Click the OK button, and the profile will be saved.

To open a saved profile:

  1. From the Export window, click the Open Profile button.

The system will display the Saved Profiles window.
