When performing an asset stocktake, you must download asset and location data from Pinnacle to the barcode reader or Personal Data Assistant (PDA).
Run the Asset Module.
Choose Download Data>Stocktake from the Interface menu.
Pinnacle will display a window showing you a list of access codes and a list of locations.
Highlight the Access Codes that you wish to view assets for. Highlight the locations that you wish to select assets from. You must choose at least one location before the OK button will be enabled. Use the Select All button to choose all the items in the list. When you have selected your access codes and locations, click the OK button.
Pinnacle will display a window listing the locations you selected. The number of assets in the location are displayed next to the location.
Highlight the locations that you want to download to the barcode reader. Use the Select All button to highlight all locations. As you select locations, a running total of the number of assets to be downloaded is displayed at the bottom of the window. You must have at least one asset to download before the OK button will be enabled. When you have selected the locations to download, click the OK button.
You may choose any number of locations to download, but some barcode readers have limited capacity to hold asset information.
Pinnacle will compile the list of asset and location information for transfer to the barcode reader.
Follow the barcode reader prompts to prepare the barcode reader to receive data from Pinnacle.
In Pinnacle, confirm that you want to begin transmission of the data to the barcode reader.
Both the barcode reader and Pinnacle should display a message indicating that data is being transferred. Pinnacle will transfer location information and asset information to the barcode reader.
