When carrying out the automatic data capture process, you must transfer location information to the Personal Data Assistant (PDA).
Run the Asset Module.
Choose Download Data>Data Capture from the Interface menu.
Pinnacle will display a window listing the locations that you can download to the PDA. You can apply a filter to the list of locations if you want to limit the list of locations to select from.
Condition ratings are always included in the data capture download.
You are able to include lookup (maintenance) tables in the data capture download.
You cannot include components in the data capture download.
Highlight the locations that you wish to download to the PDA. Use the Select All button to choose all the locations in the list. When you have selected your locations, click the Download button.
Pinnacle will prepare the location information for download to the PDA.
Pinnacle will display a message asking if you want to prepare the download file for synchronisation with the PDA. Click Yes.
Pinnacle will confirm that the download file is ready for synchronisation. Click the OK button.
You can now synchronise the PDA with your computer. The location information that you selected will be transmitted to the PDA. See your PDA manual for information on how to synchronise a PDA with a computer.
Click the Close button to close the Asset Tracking Download window.
