Moving to an Item

When a Browse window is active, the toolbar provides a set of buttons that allow you to move to the first, previous, next or last item in the browse list.

The First, Previous, Next and Last Toolbar Buttons

These options are also available from the File menu as First, Previous, Next and Last.

When a worksheet is active, the toolbar will still show the First, Previous, Next and Last buttons. Using these buttons will display the first, previous, next or last item on the worksheet that is currently open. These options will also be available from the File menu, and from the popup menu.

When you are using First, Previous, Next and Last buttons to move between items, the system will move between the items that are available on the Browse list. If you have a filter set on the Browse list that is restricting the items that you can see, you can only move between those items. So if you have a filter set and you select Last, you will see the last item that is available in the browse list, not necessarily the last item in the whole list of items.

The same principle applies to sorting. If you have a sort order set on your browse list, the system will move between the items in the sort order that is specified.

If a worksheet window has not been opened, the First and Last options will be available to allow you to quickly open the first or last item.
