When the Work Order Auto-Generate window is opened it displays two lists of templates. The top list is the list of templates that have work orders due to be created based on the template dates. The bottom list is the list of templates that have work orders due to be created based on the template attributes. If there are no work orders due to be created based on the template attributes, the Auto-Generate window will only display the list of date-based templates.
Both of the lists of scheduled templates display the following information:
Template - This is the number of the planned maintenance template for the work order due to be created.
Description - This is the description of the template, which will become the description of the work order. If you cannot see the whole description, move the mouse pointer over the description field, and Pinnacle will display the entire description next to the mouse pointer.
Location - This is the location on the template, which will become the location for the work order.
Equipment ID - This is the equipment ID of the asset on the template, which will become the equipment item for the work order. The equipment ID is only displayed if your version of Pinnacle has the "Show Equipment ID" flag turned on in the Pinnacle.INI file.
Contract - This is the contract on the template, which will become the contract for the work order.
Create On/Triggered On - This is the date that the work order was due to be created on. This helps you identify if the work order is overdue for generation.
Attribute - If the template is value-based, this is the attribute that is used to determine when a work order is required. If the template is date-based, this field is blank.
Value - If the template is value-based, this is the value of the attribute that is used to determine when a work order is required. If the template is date-based, this field is blank.
The Auto-Generation window displays a message indicating the date that the auto-generation was last performed. There is also a count of the number of selected records which is updated whenever you select or de-select a template in either list.
