Work Order Barcode Reconciliation Window

The Work Order Barcode Reconciliation window allows you to view the different kinds of barcode reconciliation issues that have occurred during the closure of a work order. At the top of the Barcode Reconciliation window is a drop down list that allows you to select the Issue Type that you want to view information for. The available issues are:

You can also choose whether you want to view active or closed issues, using the radio buttons at the top left hand side of the window.  Closed issues cannot be Processed, they can only be Moved, which will change the status of the issue from Closed to Active.

As you select each type of issue, the Barcode Reconciliation Window will display all the issues of that type, either open or closed depending on your selections.  Pinnacle will display relevant information for each Issue Type.

If two or more issues are related to each other, Pinnacle will display an information icon on the left hand side of the issue row.  If you click on this information icon, Pinnacle will display a message showing you the issue number and issue type of the related issue.

If there are a large number of issues displayed, you can use the Filter button to apply a filter to the list of issues.

You can also choose to export the Barcode Reconciliation Issues in the same way that you can export any Pinnacle report.  Click the Export button to display the Export dialog.

Invalid for FMMS

Selecting this Issue Type will display a list of all the Issues that have been registered where the asset barcode number that was entered in the Barcode Worked On field on the Work Order Closure tab was not a valid asset barcode number.

The fields displayed for this Issue Type are: Issue Number, Issue Date, Work Order Number, Work Order Barcode (from the Work Order Details tab), Work Order Barcode Asset Title, Work Order Barcode Worked On (from the Work Order Closure tab), Barcode Worked On Asset Title, Contract ID, Contractor, Work Order Location.

Issues of this type can be Moved, which changes the status of the Issue from Active to Closed, or Refreshed.  If you select an issue, and choose the Refresh button, Pinnacle will check again that there is no asset with the Barcode Worked On barcode number.  If no asset is found, the issue will remain.  If an asset is found, the Issue will be re-classified as one of the other Issue Types.

Invalid for Contract

Selecting this Issue Type will display a list of all the Issues that have been registered where the asset barcode number that was entered in the Barcode Worked On field on the Work Order Closure tab is different from the Work Order Barcode Number, and was the barcode number for an asset that is not covered by the Contract that was selected for the work order.

The fields displayed for this Issue Type are: Issue Number, Issue Date, Work Order Number, Work Order Barcode (from the Work Order Details tab), Work Order Barcode Asset Title, Barcode Worked On (from the Work Order Closure tab), Barcode Worked On Asset Title, Contract ID, Contractor, Work Order Location.

Issues of this type can be Moved, which changes the status of the Issue from Active to Closed, Processed, or Refreshed.  If you process the issue, Pinnacle will update the Work Order Barcode Number to the Barcode Worked On barcode number, ignoring any normal work order/contract constraints.  If you select an issue and choose the Refresh button, Pinnacle will check again that the asset with the Barcode Worked On barcode number is not covered by the Contract that was selected for the work order.  If the asset is still not covered, the issue remains.  If the asset is now covered, the Issue will be re-classified as "Valid Replacement Barcode".

Invalid for Location - Move & Update

Selecting this Issue Type will display a list of all the Issues where Pinnacle determines that the asset location details for the asset selected for the Work Order are not up to date.  If the asset barcode number that was entered in the Barcode Worked On field on the Work Order Closure tab is different from the Work Order Barcode Number, and the Work Order Location is different to the Location for the Barcode Worked On asset, and the Last Stocktake Date of the asset is empty or earlier than the Work Completed Date, or the Work Completed Date is empty, then this shows that the asset location details are not up to date, and Pinnacle will add an issue of this type.

The fields displayed for this Issue Type are: Issue Number, Issue Date, Work Order Number, Work Order Barcode (from the Work Order Details tab), Work Order Barcode Asset Title, Barcode Worked On (from the Work Order Closure tab), Barcode Worked On Asset Title, Work Order Location, Barcode Worked On Location, Last Stocktake Date.

Issues of this type can be Processed, which will change the location of the asset to the same location as the work order, and will update the Last Stocktake Date of the asset to the Create Date of the work order.  No other work orders associated with the asset will have their locations updated. Issues of this type can also be Refreshed.  If you select an issue and choose the Refresh button, Pinnacle will check again that the locations for the work order and asset do not match.  If they still do not match, the issue remains.  If they match, the issue will be closed.

Invalid for Location - Dismiss

Selecting this Issue Type will display a list of all the Issues that have been registered where the asset barcode number that was entered in the Barcode Worked On field on the Work Order Closure tab is different to the Work Order Barcode Number, and where the Work Order Location is different from the Location for the Barcode Worked On Asset, and where the Last Stocktake Date of the asset is later than the Work Completed Date.  If the Last Stocktake Date of the asset is later than the Work Completed Date, this shows that the asset has been moved since the Work Order was raised.

Issues of this type can be Processed, which will update the Work Order Barcode Number to the Barcode Worked On barcode number, or Refreshed.  If you select an issue and choose the Refresh button, Pinnacle will check again that the locations for the work order and asset do not match.  If they still do not match, the issue remains.  If they match, the issue will be closed.

Valid Replacement Barcode

Selecting this Issue Type will display a list of all the Issues that have been registered where the asset barcode number that was entered in the Barcode Worked On field on the Work Order Closure tab is different to the Work Order Barcode Number, but that the barcode number is a valid asset barcode number that meets all the other requirements of the work order.

The fields displayed for this Issue Type are: Issue Number, Issue Date, Work Order Number, Work Order Barcode (from the Work Order Details tab), Work Order Barcode Asset Title, Barcode Worked On (from the Work Order Closure tab), Barcode Worked On Asset Title, and Work Order Location.

Issues of this type can only be Processed, which will update the Work Order Barcode Number to the Barcode Worked On barcode number.

Asset Barcode Updated

Selecting this Issue Type will display a list of all the Issues that have been registered where the asset barcode number for the Work Order has had the barcode number changed on the Asset Details tab.

Issues of this type can only be Moved, which changes the status of the Issue from Active to Closed.

Refreshing the Barcode Issues List

To ensure that the list of barcode issues is kept as up to date as possible, Pinnacle will do a full refresh of the list when the Work Order Barcode Reconciliation Window is opened.  When the window is open, Pinnacle will check each Active issue to see if it still a valid issue.  If the issue is no longer valid, it will be Closed.  If the issue is still valid, it will remain in the list of Active issues.

In addition, when the Work Order Closure tab is opened Pinnacle will check if there are any barcode issues for the Work Order.  If there are issues, Pinnacle will check if the issues are still valid.  If the issue or issues are no longer valid, they will be Closed.  If there issue is still valid, it will remain an Active issue, and will still be displayed on the Work Order Closure tab.
