The Pinnacle Stock Module has a number of user definable settings which may be specified in the Application Settings window. This window can be accessed by choosing the Application Settings menu option from the Maintain menu in the Administration Module.
The Application Settings window has several options for the Stock Module defaults: Field Names, and Other.
The Field Names tab allows you to specify some names to use in the Stock module if the default values do not suit your organisation. The field names you specify will be used throughout Pinnacle wherever the field appears.
The field names you can specify are:
Cost Centre
Purchase Order - This will also affect fields such as the purchase order date.
Order Reference
Request Number - This does not refer to the Stock Requests. If you change this name, it will not affect the name of your requests, only the single field on the Purchase Order details tab.
This tab allows you to specify some other miscellaneous defaults for the Stock Module.
The defaults you can specify are:
Decimal places for quantities - The number of decimal places to use for quantity fields in the Stock Module.
Decimal places for amounts - The number of decimal places to use for amount fields in the Stock Module.
Stocktake IRL program - The IRL program to use with Intermec barcode readers for the Stock Module stocktake. This field is not used if you use a different type of barcode reader for your stock stocktake.
Auto-issue Request Items - This indicates that you want all items added to stock requests to be automatically issued.
Purchase Order Cost - This is the administrative cost to your organisation of raising a purchase order and receiving deliveries against a purchase order. This default value must be entered before Pinnacle can calculate the Economic Order Quantity for stock items.
Carrying Percentage - This is the annual expenditure on the carrying of stock (warehousing and handling), expressed as a percentage of the average inventory for the year. This default value must be entered before Pinnacle can calculate the Economic Order Quantity for stock items.
