Another feature of Pinnacle is its popup menus. Right-clicking with the mouse on most of Pinnacle's windows will cause a popup menu to be displayed. This menu will list some of the most frequently performed actions for the active window.
Popup menus are provided as a convenient shortcut. All of the options on the popup menus are also available from the main menu displayed in the module window and some may also be available on the toolbar.
The Pinnacle system includes a comprehensive Administration module which can be used to restrict access to certain parts of the system. If you are unable to use any of the functions in Pinnacle, it may be because you have not been granted access rights to the function. If you think you need access to a part of the system which you cannot access you will need to contact your system administrator.
If you have more than one database set up for Pinnacle, you may need to find out which one you are connected to. The name of the Pinnacle data source you are connected to is displayed in the Title bar of each module, along with the type of database you are connected to.
The Title Bar
Pinnacle uses an initialisation file, called the Pinnacle.INI file. This file is added to your system when Pinnacle is installed. The Pinnacle.INI file contains options that are used to determine how some features of Pinnacle will behave. This file should not be changed or modified in any way.
