Maintenance Types are used to determine what type of Work Order or Planned Maintenance Template is raised. It is also used when creating work packages.
The Maintenance Type table has the following fields:
Description - The description of the maintenance type. You must enter a description, and the description must be unique.
Post - Whether to post expenditure for Work Orders/Planned Maintenance Templates of this maintenance type. This applies only to postings for budget codes. Any commitment and expenditure postings made on the subsequent work order will still post to the work order's asset, location and contract.
Override Defaults - This flag controls the behaviour of work orders with this maintenance type in the following ways:
If this flag is set, contract work orders with this maintenance type can be commenced regardless of the setting of the "Require SRF Est/Quote before commencement" flag and the "Require SRF Authorisation before commencement flag" on the Work Order Module Defaults window.
