The Pinnacle Administration Module has a number of user definable settings which may be specified in the Application Settings window. This window can be accessed by choosing the Application Settings menu option from the Maintain menu in the Administration Module.
The Application Settings window has several options for the Administration Module: Passwords, Bitmaps and Interface Devices.
This option allows you to set defaults which will affect the management of security passwords in Pinnacle. The defaults you can specify are:
Number of days until passwords expire - The number of days that a password is valid for until it expires.
Remind user of password expiry X days in advance - The number of days in advance to begin reminding users that their password is about to expire.
Enforce password expiry - Whether to enforce password expiry or not. If you choose not to enforce password expiry, the system will not check whether passwords have expired, nor will users be reminded about password expiry.
This option allows you to define the bitmap that appears on all of the reports in Pinnacle. The defaults you can specify are:
Report Bitmap - The file location and name of the bitmap to appear on reports. The system displays a box showing the maximum recommended bitmap size. Anything larger than the recommended size may not be displayed correctly.
Size % - The percent size of the bitmap to display. If a bitmap is larger than the recommended bitmap size, you can use the Size % to reduce the size of the bitmap as it is displayed on the Pinnacle reports.
This option allows you to specify the default settings that will be used when Pinnacle is communicating with PDAs or Barcode Readers if the information has not been set up for the user. The defaults you can specify are:
Default Comm Port - This is the Comm Port to use by default, if this is needed for the interface device.
Default Interface Device - This is the interface device to use by default. See the Users table for a list of the valid Interface Devices.
