Recording Actual Stock Usage for a Work Order

When adding a new actual materials, you can type in a material description if you don't wish to use a stock item. If you do wish to use a stock item, you can record the actual stock usage for the work order.

  1. Choose a stock item from the list of stock items that are material items.

    The system will automatically fill in the material description.

  2. Enter the quantity of stock that you are actually using for the work order.

    The system will automatically fill in the cost based on the quantity of the stock item that you are using, and the average cost per issue unit of the stock item.

  3. Alter the cost of the stock item if the cost is not correct.

If you have selected a stock item in the Actual Materials tab Pinnacle will display a window listing the locations where the stock items can be found, when you save your changes. In this window Pinnacle will show the locations of the stock items and the quantity of stock that is available in the location. The system will also show the quantity of stock that you wish to requisition.

You can decide how much of the stock item you want to take from each location, but the total amount of stock that you take must equal the total quantity of the stock item to be requisitioned. The total quantity to be requisitioned is displayed at the bottom of the window.

Once you have decided on the quantity of stock to requisition, click the OK button to complete the requisitioning.
