Searching for a Stock Item

If there are a large number of material stock items, it could take quite a while to scroll through the list when you want to select a stock ID. Instead of using the drop-down list of stock items, you can search for a material stock item instead.

To search for a material stock item:

1. Open the Work Order or Template

2. Change to the appropriate tab.

3. Choose New from the Backlog menu

   OR

   Choose New from the popup menu

   OR

   Click the New toolbar button.

   Pinnacle will add a new item.

4. Double-click in the Stock ID or the Material Description field.

   Pinnacle will display a search window with all the material stock items listed. You can scroll through the stock items, or you can apply a filter to the window to narrow down the search for your stock item.

5. Highlight the stock item that you want to use as the material item.

6. Click the OK button.

   Pinnacle will set the Stock ID in the material item to the selected stock item.
