Automatically Generating Work Orders from a Planned Maintenance Template

There is often a legal or statutory requirement for certain assets or properties to be maintained or serviced regularly. Automatically generating work orders from Planned Maintenance templates ensures that no planned maintenance is overlooked.

When the Work Order Module is started for the first time on a new day, Pinnacle will examine the maintenance schedules for all Planned Maintenance Templates, and determine which work orders need to be generated. These work orders will be displayed in the Work Order Auto-Generate window.

The auto-generate process determines which work orders need to be displayed based on the due dates for templates, and also based on the access rights for the user who has initiated the process. Only templates with an access code that the user has rights to maintain will be inspected for inclusion in the auto-generation window. This means that if another user with rights to different access codes runs the Work Order Module, the auto-generate process will be run again.
