Shift Log Messages Tab

The Log Messages tab shows any messages that have been recorded for this shift log. These messages are usually messages that should be read as part of the shift log, for example, a message might be a reminder to check some documentation before carrying out a task, or might be an indication of some special requirement for carrying out a task for that particular shift log.

To add a new log message:

  1. Open the shift log that you want to add a message to.

  2. Change to the Log Messages tab.

  3. Select New from the File menu

    OR

    Choose New from the popup menu

    OR

    Click the New toolbar button.

    The system will add a new blank message to allow you to enter new message information.

  4. Choose a priority for the message. The Priority can be Low, Normal or Urgent.

  5. Choose who you would like to send the message to. You can choose to send the message to an individual user, or you can send the message to a security group.

  6. Enter the subject of the message.

  7. Enter the text of the message.

  8. Select Save from the File menu

    OR

    Choose Save from the popup menu

    OR

    Click the Save toolbar button.
