A Schedule passes through different stages of a life cycle that starts with the registration of the Schedule and finishes with the finalisation of the Schedule. There are three main stages of a Schedule's Life Cycle. These are:
Draft - When a Schedule is first created its status is Draft. You can add work orders, print schedules, and cancel a schedule with a status of Draft.
Released - A schedule becomes Released when all work orders have been included on the schedule and any resource balancing has been checked. Work orders can be removed from a Released schedule and Released schedules can be printed but not Cancelled.
Finalised - When all work orders have reached the Work Completed Stage the status of the Schedule will automatically be modified to Finalised. This is the last stage of the schedule life cycle.
In addition to the three normal stages of a schedule's life cycle, you can also change the status of a schedule to Cancelled. A schedule generally becomes cancelled if an error has occurred when the schedule is first created. A schedule that is cancelled cannot be printed, and is not included in the Outstanding Schedules report.
