The System Definitions table allows you to define systems and the number of levels for each system. You can have up to seven levels for a system. You can also set up the formats for the abbreviations for the different levels.
A Property system is automatically included in the System definitions table. You cannot delete this system, although you can change the name if you wish. You can set up the levels for your property system in the same way as any other system.
The System Definitions table has two different tabs for recording information about a system. The tabs are: Systems, and Levels.
The Systems tab shows the systems that you have defined. One system that must always remain in Pinnacle is the property system. The property system is identified by an asterisk (*) on the same row as the property system. You cannot delete the property system, but you can change the name of the property system if you like.
The fields available on the Systems tab are:
System Name - This is the name of the system. You must enter a system name, and the system name must be unique.
Levels - This shows the number of levels that have been defined for the system. You cannot edit the number of levels from the systems tab.
The Levels tab allows you to define the number of levels that are available within a system. When defining the level hierarchy, you must start from the top and work your way down. You must define your Level 1 first.
You cannot add more than seven levels in the hierarchy, and you can only delete the lowest level currently defined in the hierarchy for the system.
The fields on the Levels tab are:
Level Number - The number of the level. Pinnacle will automatically number the levels as you add them. You cannot edit the level number.
Level Name - The name you want to give the level for the system. Pinnacle will default the Level Name when you add a new level, but you can change this if you wish.
Format - This is the format that you want to enter the code for each level.
